Black Beans & Walnut Lettuce Wraps Recipe

You will get all the amazing flavors of original tacos with these taco styled lettuce wraps. The walnut and bean filling is so full flavors that it goes perfectly with any taco topping.

14-ounce black beans, cooked

3.5-ounce walnuts

1 tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon red chili powder

¼ teaspoon ground cumin

3 spring onions, sliced

Half of a lime, juiced

6 large lettuce leaves

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup tomato salsa

½ cup grated parmesan cheese


  1. In a food processor or blender place walnuts, olive oil, paprika, and chili powder and pulse until mixture resembles crumbs.
  2. Transfer walnut mixture to a bowl, add beans, onions and lime juice and mix until combined.
  3. Divide walnut mixture evenly among lettuce leaves, then top with tomato halves, salsa and cheese and serve.
