Italian Beef Recipe


If you like a roast for dinner, then you will love this recipe. Slow-cooked Italian beef is an easy dinner and its aroma will call you back to eat.

Yield: 2 servings

Total Time Taken: 5 hours and 10 minutes


5-pound rump roast

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning mix

1 bay leaf

3 cups of water 


  1. In a small saucepan add all the ingredients except roast and place over medium heat. Bring to boil and then remove the pan from heat.
  2. Rinse roast, pat dry and place in the 8-quarts slow cooker. Evenly pour the prepared spice mixture over roast and cover the cooker.
  3. Plugin the cooker and cook on high heat setting for 5-6 hours. When the roast is done, remove and discard bay leaf and shred roast using forks.
  4. Serve warm with a side of your choice.
