If you like a roast for dinner, then you will love this recipe. Slow-cooked Italian beef is an easy dinner and its aroma will call you back to eat.

5-pound rump roast
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning mix
1 bay leaf
3 cups of water
- In a small saucepan add all the ingredients except roast and place over medium heat. Bring to boil and then remove the pan from heat.
- Rinse roast, pat dry and place in the 8-quarts slow cooker. Evenly pour the prepared spice mixture over roast and cover the cooker.
- Plugin the cooker and cook on high heat setting for 5-6 hours. When the roast is done, remove and discard bay leaf and shred roast using forks.
- Serve warm with a side of your choice.
